Jim earned a BS in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Jim's responsibilities include making sure the experiments run smoothly in the MVRC by maintaining all the software and hardware. Jim sets up the virtual reality software for each researcher's project, as well as interprets the protocols and constructs the procedures for each experiment. He maintains and adjusts all hardware used for experiments, such as lining up the projectors to establish the proper perspective; ensuring that all computers are functioning properly; and ordering supplies for the MVRC. Jim also coordinates the analysis of data from the experiments and develops custom electronic devices when necessary.
